Las Cruces Public Schools (LCPS) partnered with Graduation Alliance in February of 2024 to operate a Dropout Recovery program. Through our combined efforts, 477 students have been enrolled in the program to date. And now, you’re invited to refer to this program students from your district who did not graduate and share in accountability gains for any student who graduates.

Program Feedback
“I had an accident a couple months ago … but it didn't stop me from graduating. I had trouble doing my homework and I wanted to give up but I had friends and family who supported me and wanted to see me graduate, so I went online. (This program) was the best — good teachers helping you or trying to.”
— Robert H. / Graduate
“My Local Advocate is super helpful in Meetups, and she calls to check up on how I'm doing with classes and if there's anything she can do to help. She gives really amazing advice on classes and life!”
— Anonymous Student
“Once I (enrolled in this program), it was super helpful, and I knew where everything was. It was also at my own pace. After high school, I'm planning on going to college to work on my law degree.”
— Audrina Y. / Graduate

Statewide Dropout Recovery Program
The LCPS Statewide Dropout Recovery Program provides dropped-out students another opportunity to finish their education and prepare for college or a career.
- School districts refer dropped-out students, and the program locates and gets them back on track to graduation.
- Districts can share in accountability gains for any students who graduate. Your district will get positive accountability for segments in which the student was enrolled in your district.
- There is no administrative burden on your district for participating. All you need to do is send a list of dropouts to the program — the program handles the rest.
This program is for students who are 22 or younger, no longer attending, and did not graduate from your school district.
It doesn’t matter why they haven’t graduated. If they were once enrolled in your district and didn’t graduate, this program can help them finish their diploma.
Flexibility — All of the courses are 100% asynchronous and online, so students can work on their schoolwork when and where it’s best for them.
Accountability — Learners have weekly and monthly deadlines to keep them paced for graduation, and their support team checks in with them weekly.
Support — Every student is wrapped in 360 degrees of support, including state-certified teachers, Academic Coaches, Local Advocates, 24/7 virtual tutors, and an IT helpdesk.
Students enrolled in this program receive all the flexibility, accountability, and support they need to graduate from high school.
